-sponsored by the Sandwich Conservation Commission
The 5 Days of Sandwich Day Camp is now registering campers for the 2023 season. The 5 Days of Sandwich is a day camp sponsored through the Sandwich Conservation Commission and is open to all year-round and seasonal Sandwich children ages 7-13+.
The 5 Days of Sandwich sessions run Monday-Friday, from 9am-3pm. Each session is unique and explores the many natural and historic wonders of Sandwich. Campers will participate in activities centered on history, conservation, stewardship and good, old-fashioned fun.
Each day will consist of an age-appropriate hike/nature walk and swimming and projects, crafts and games. Campers will discover many hidden gems all over the town. Some activities are weather dependent and may need to be altered upon short notice.
This year’s theme will be the micro-world. Campers will explore the small things in nature, explore the role of macro invertebrates in ecosystems and be introduced to the basics of decomposition. This popular camp is limited to 12 campers per session and campers are registered on a first come first served basis. Tuition for the 5 Days of Sandwich is $50 per camper for the week. Due to funding sources, registration priority is given to Sandwich residents and their families. Children from neighboring communities will be added to the waitlist and given the opportunity to participate if space allows.
