Wind, Wood heating & Solar Exemptions

Current Exemption Amount: $5,000
Note: Wind, wood heating, and solar system exemptions act as a zero-sum exemption; this means that an approved $5,000 exemption will offset the assessed value ($5,000) of the system.
- Applicant must be the owner of the property.
- Solar systems must meet the definition as described in NH RSA 72:62
- Wind energy systems must meet the definition as described in NH RSA 72:65
- Wood heating energy system must meet definition as described in NH RSA 72:69. Note: while the appliance may burn wood solely or in combination with another fuel, the wood burning appliance must be designed to operate as a central heating system or as a sole source of heat (woodstoves do not qualify).
