Memorial Day Remembrance
Memorial Day in Sandwich will be observed on Monday, May 30 at 10:30 AM at the Honor Roll next to the Center Sandwich Post Office. Our guest speaker will Sergeant James R. Fogarty, USMC. Sergeant Fogarty served for seven years as a member of the Radio Reconnaissance Platoon, First Radio Battalion. He served in Operations Desert Storm (Kuwait) and Restore Hope I and II (Somalia).
Pastor Deb Hoffman of the Community Church of Sandwich will offer the invocation and benediction. Music for the program will be provided by Pastor Deb Hoffman, Nancy Read and Kirke Read. Elaine Peaslee will lay the Remembrance Wreath at the Honor Roll. Our emcee is Lee Quimby, who has presided over the program since the dedication of the Honor Roll some 24 years ago.
