Public Hearing Notice --August 10 Hearing POSTPONED

Hearing Rescheduled, August 24, 2017, 7 P.M.

 

 

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with RSA 676:7 I, that the public hearings on the following applications before the Sandwich Zoning Board of Adjustment have been postponed from August 10, 2017. In order to provide full and proper notifications to all interested parties, the hearings are rescheduled for Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 7 P.M. at Sandwich Town Hall:

 

Case #2017-04: John P. Dolan

Request by Agent/Applicant Regina A. Nadeau for Appeal of an Administrative Decision relative to property owned by John P. Dolan, 284 Wentworth Hill Road, Tax Map R10, Lot 1F, Rural Residential District. Applicant seeks to appeal a decision by the Sandwich Board of Selectmen which interpreted the Sandwich Zoning Ordinance to prohibit the conversion of a single family home to an owner-occupied bed and breakfast, under the provisions of Article II, Section 150-7.A (3) and (4), and instead determined that the operation qualifies as an Inn, under the provisions of Article XV, Section 150-102.E.

 

Case #2017-05: John P. Dolan

Request by Agent/Applicant Regina A. Nadeau for an Appeal of an Administrative Decision relative to property owned by John P. Dolan, 284 Wentworth Hill Road, Tax Map R10, Lot 1F, Rural Residential District. Applicant seeks to appeal a decision by the Sandwich Board of Selectmen which interpreted the Sandwich Zoning Ordinance to require a variance for a function hall, characterizing said function hall as an “event center,” which is undefined under the Ordinance.

 

Case #2017-06: John P. Dolan

Request by Agent/Applicant Regina A. Nadeau for Special Exception for property owned by John P. Dolan, 284 Wentworth Hill Road, Tax Map R10, Lot 1F, Rural Residential District. Applicant proposes to build and operate an Inn with associated function area, requiring a special exception under the Sandwich Zoning Ordinance, Article XV, Section 150-02.E.

 

Case #2017-07: John P. Dolan

Request by Agent/Applicant Regina A. Nadeau for an Appeal of an Administrative Decision relative to property owned by John P. Dolan, 284 Wentworth Hill Road, Tax Map R10, Lot 1F, Rural Residential District. Applicant requests an appeal of the Board of Selectmen’s cease and desist order dated July 5, 2017.

 

Upon a finding by the Board that sufficient information has been provided to initiate formal review, the Board will accept an application and a public hearing on the merits of the proposal will follow immediately. Should a decision not be reached at the meeting, an application will stay on the Zoning Board agenda until such time as it is either approved or disapproved.
