Saturday:  8 AM - 4 PM
Sunday:  8 AM - 4 PM

The Transfer Station is typically closed in observance of the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

Town of Sandwich Recycling Center

The Town of Sandwich operates a secure, safe and environmentally friendly Transfer Station for the residents of Sandwich to properly dispose or recycle common household items and non-hazardous waste. 



The Transfer Station provides excellent recycling opportunities where residents can exercise their environmental stewardship of resources and help reduce the bulk amount of trash. The Town of Sandwich does not offer curb-side refuse pickup.

All vehicles entering and using the Transfer Station must display a current (red) Town of Sandwich Facility Permit sticker or provide the Town of Sandwich Guest Pass, which residents may obtain from the Selectmen's Office.

If you are a business owner and plan on bringing a bulk amount of cardboard or trash to the Transfer Station, a call ahead would be appreciated by the Transfer Station personnel.

Battery Recycling

All batteries can now be recycled at the Sandwich Transfer Station. This includes Alkaline batteries (AAA, AA, C, D). Look for the labeled Battery Buckets at the Transfer Station or ask for assistance from one of our helpful attendants.

Propane Tank Recycling

With the exception of 1lb cylinders, valve stems MUST be removed or the tank will not be accepted.
